What is Shiroi?
Shiroi is a research and engineering organization focused on block production, transaction inclusion, and MEV-aware execution infrastructure on Solana.
Shiroi designs and operates low-latency systems that sit close to execution, with the goal of improving determinism, fairness, and efficiency in how transactions are propagated, prioritized, and executed under load.
The project explores MEV not as an extractive primitive, but as a systems problem arising from latency, uncertainty, and probabilistic execution.
Core focus areas
Block production & delivery Infrastructure for receiving, ordering, and delivering transactions and shreds as close to execution as possible.
Inclusion & execution guarantees Reducing probabilistic behavior (EV-based selection) by minimizing distance between bidders, builders, and execution.
MEV-aware system design Studying how auctions, incentives, and network topology shape MEV outcomes.
Protocol-compatible infrastructure
Systems designed to operate within existing validator and consensus roles, without modifying protocol rules or introducing external trust dependencies.
Design philosophy
Shiroi is built around three guiding principles:
Illuminate — make block production and inclusion mechanics observable and explicit
Democratize — reduce structural advantages derived purely from latency or opaque infrastructure
Distribute — avoid central points of control in block building and execution
What Shiroi is not
Not a general-purpose RPC provider
Not a custody or wallet service
Not a purely off-chain MEV marketplace
Shiroi focuses on core infrastructure, close to the protocol boundary, where execution outcomes are decided.
